SAVANNAH TOURS
Hello Fellow Campers:
Below please find a proposed agenda and the related
costs for our trip to Savannah next April. We would like you to please
review it and get back to us by the January meeting. Money for the tours
will be due at that time. If you do not want to participate in any of
the tours that is fine but we will need to know definitely at our
January meeting.
Some of the items do require a group in order to
receive group rates.
We hope you will End Savannah as exciting as we do.

Sunday 4/25
- Campers
arrive on Tybee Island.
- 4:30
- Happy Hour.
- Dinner:
Potluck at the Pavilion.
Monday 4/26
- Old
Town Trolley Tour - 44.00 per person.
- Trolley
will pick us up at the campground and take us into Savannah where we
will take a 90 minute tour of the historical district. Following the
tour we will tour the Julitte Gordon Low House (founder of Girl
Scouts). We will visit the Mercer House (Midnight in the Garden of
Good and Evil). The trolley will then drop us off at the City Market
where we will be on our own for the afternoon. The trolley company
will provide us with tickets for a hop on and off the trolley the
balance of the afternoon for you to explore on your own.
- Lunch
will be on your own. The trolley will pick us up at 4:30 and return
us back to the campground.
- Happy
Hour at Camp.
- Dinner
on your own - or we will set up a group dinner on Tybee Island if
you wish.
Tuesday 4/27
- Savannah
on your own in the morning.
- Lunch
at Paula Deens - 21.00 per person (includes tax, tip and beverage,
choice of two entrees, etc. This is a group rate.
- Savannah
on your own for the afternoon.
- Happy
Hour back at Camp.
- Dinner
at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House (approx. 18.00 per person.)
Wednesday 4/28
- Golf
for those who wish - can be a.m. or p.m.
- Suggested
course is: Southbridge (about 30 min) 40.00 per person - includes
cart and greens fee, 18 holes.
- For
the non-golfers, explore/shop Tybee and/or Savannah.
- Early
happy hour at camp.
- Dinner:
Mess and Muster ~ 27.00 per person. This should be a different
experience. Dinner is served at Old Fort Jackson. Servers will be in
costume and we will be treated to a firing of the cannons. This does
require at least 20 people.
Thursday 4/29
- Breakfast/Bloody
Mary at camp.
- A.M.
- Explore Savannah on your own.
- Lunch
on your own.
- 2:00
- Narrated Savannah River Cruise (19.45 per person)
- Happy
Hour
- Dinner
own own or...we can put together one at The Pirates House in
Savannah or Uncle Bubbas (Paula Deens’ Brother) near camp.
- Dusk:
Ghost Tour in Savannah -21.40 per person for those who would like to
hunt ghosts and hear tales of “haints”.
Friday 4/30
Coffee, doughnuts and safe travels to tall.
Additional Info: Beaches and ocean three blocks from
campground - free Wi-Fi - pool -fishing - turtle watch - forts (on Tybee
Island) --- We will contact participants after sign up to
determine interest in tours.
